The webpage of Glimpses of the Gospel is a simple and accessible tool to spread the Word of God that the Church presents to us in the daily Gospel to all those willing to receive it.
I wanted to name this project “Glimpses of the Gospel” because I do not intend to say everything in a brief commentary, but only to provide a brief glimpse that is both understandable and deep at the same time, that helps everybody reflect on the Gospel and enables them to apply it in their daily life.
I consider that it is impossible to explain everything; a short commentary by a priest cannot realistically convey all the richness that a Biblical text contains or all that he would like to say himself. Therefore, I want you to know that I can only afford you a mere “glimpse” of the Gospel; I can only do my bit and make a contribution to the multitude of comments that the Church has been making for centuries.
In my few years of priesthood, I have become convinced, through daily experience, that the Word of God has a converting power, capable of transforming the hearts of those who listen to it with humility and willingness. Only he who listens can believe in Jesus and only he who believes in Jesus can listen.
The very Word itself says: “But how can they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone to preach? And how can people preach unless they are sent?” (Rom. 10:14-15). It is true; experience confirms that “indeed, the word of God is living and effective, sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating even between soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and able to discern reflections and thoughts of the heart.” (Heb. 4:12).
I pray to God the Father and Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior, that through the power of the Holy Spirit and by this means, His Word may continue to help many people to encounter Him day by day, or, better said, to let themselves be encountered by Him.

By God’s grace, we are a team: many people are helping carry out this project, which has been growing slowly but steadily. Without them, I would not have been able to go ahead; without them, the Word of God could not spread so far. That is why I want to thank them for their prayers and for the daily work they do in keeping our web page and social networks updated by submitting translations, transcriptions, and audios, by managing subscriptions, and creating visual concepts.

It is always good to clarify that this evangelization project is sustained thanks to the selfless work of lay people and Father Rodrigo, who put their prayer, time, creativity and talent at the service of the daily prayer of those who receive the audios, so that they can enrich their daily prayer.
However, even such a noble project bears its expenses, like the production and maintenance of the app and the website. For this reason, we are always thankful for your support, your words of encouragement and your endorsement of this initiative.
